A logical precursor to Brand X, Nova was an Italian fusion band that featured bass and drum interplay not unlike Brand X, rumbling below lead guitar and sax. The vocals are in English, and unlike some non-native English speaking bands, this does not detract from the overall quality of the music. Most of Blink is a complex jam with a few song-oriented pieces. Any fan of Brand X, Ossana or Area might find this interesting listening. This was Nova's first album; they recorded three more, each of which was more rock-oriented than the last.
