The first, self-titled album consists of mostly heavy, but melodic progressive rock with a strong fusion inclination. The fierce guitar/keyboard/flute interplay and soloing recalls the Italian art-rock groups of the 70's. The combination of fusion and melodic progressive rock elements may also suggest bands like Crucis, Atlas, and Focus, although they do not really sound like any of them. One of the highlights of the album is the 16 minute "Druga Strana Mene", which incorporates in one track all the style figures mentioned above. The second album, U Vreci Za Spavanje, is quite similar in style, although the fusion element has been reduced in favor of a more symphonic approach, while the guitar playing tends a bit more towards hard rock. The Hungarian band Solaris might be a better reference for this album. Just because of my personal preferences I find the second album less appealing than the debut album. Nevertheless, both albums are among the best progressive rock albums to have come out of Eastern Europe. | ||
